The short version
What PLUMdata is
PLUMdata is a web service that connects to your Google Drive, reads the names and — where needed — the identifying content of the files you choose to scan, and proposes renames, folder groupings, duplicate and stale-file flags, and sensitivity labels according to a naming convention you set. It also maintains a private index of your estate, stored in your own Drive. Nothing in your Drive changes until you explicitly approve a suggestion, every change is reversible, and PLUMdata cannot delete your files — the capability does not exist. The full data lifecycle is documented on our Privacy & Security page.
Who can use it
You need a Google account and the legal authority to grant PLUMdata access to the Drive content you scan. If you’re using a work or school account, you confirm your organisation permits third-party Drive tools. You must be at least 16 years old (or the digital-consent age in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher).

Google API Services & Limited Use
PLUMdata’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. In short: we use Google user data only to provide and improve the user-facing features you connect for, we do not use it for advertising, we do not allow humans to read it except in the narrow cases the policy permits, and we do not use it to develop, train or improve generalised AI models.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
Use PLUMdata against Drive content you don’t have rights to
Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or overload the service
Use PLUMdata for unlawful purposes
Pricing & payment
PLUMdata charges per file processed. The first 100 files per account are free (lifetime). Pricing is shown at /pricing, is per-file with rates that drop as your estate grows, and is calculated server-side at the moment you confirm a scan. There is no subscription and no auto-renewal.

AI suggestions — what they are and aren’t
Rename suggestions, folder groupings and sensitivity labels are produced by an AI model. They are best-effort interpretations of your files’ names and content, not guaranteed-correct facts. You are responsible for reviewing each suggestion before approving it. PLUMdata is not liable for changes you approve that turn out to be unsuitable; the review step exists precisely for this reason, and every applied change has a one-click undo.
Service availability
We aim for high availability but don’t guarantee uninterrupted service. Planned maintenance, third-party outages (Google, Anthropic, Stripe, Vercel, Sentry) and unforeseen incidents may cause downtime. We don’t offer a formal SLA at this stage.
Disclaimers & limitation of liability
PLUMdata is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the greater of (a) the total amount you paid PLUMdata in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) USD 50. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or business interruption.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law (e.g. for gross negligence, fraud, or death/personal injury caused by negligence).
Ending the relationship
You can stop using PLUMdata at any time by revoking access at myaccount.google.com/permissions, or with the “Delete my account” control on the Privacy & Security page. From that moment we have no ability to read or modify anything in your Drive. To delete the account record we hold (your email and payment history), use that control or email us and we’ll action it within 48 hours. We retain only a one-way hashed marker that your free allowance was used — holding no readable personal data — to prevent the free tier being reset by re-registering.
We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms, if continued service is unlawful, or if we discontinue the product. Where the cause isn’t a breach by you, we’ll give reasonable notice and pro-rata refunds for any unused pre-paid credit.
Changes to these terms
If we materially change these terms, we’ll post the updated version here and update the “Last updated” date below. Continued use after a change means you accept it. If you don’t accept a change, stop using the service and revoke access as described above.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales, except where mandatory consumer-protection laws in your country of residence apply.
